how can I hide the wire in the back of a quilt kit stamped cross?

I bought a quilt prepaid cross stitch 20 years ago for my daughter and it's over before it was born. She is now married and has her own child on the way, I want to do it again for her child. It was for so many years for me that I forgot how to hide the knot, or do I not do and hide the Over? If so, how do I start? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Your advice is greatly appreciated by this new grandma.

I'm assuming it is made like the one I made so long ago, with a layer of cotton batting already locked. After node of embroidery thread you really have to pull hard from the rear forward. It will pass through the support material, if you have not done large-node. . Continue about to cross. o not go through all the layers. Leave a long "tail" when you approach the end of the embroidery thread. This remains between the layers. Just to pull the needle through upwards. The wire stays inside. Then keep repeating the above until the quilt is complete.
