In Puerto de la Cruz, visit the botanical garden. We like to visit the botanical gardens and the world. Compared to all those others we have seen is: busy, expensive, not very interesting
We assume it is full of people who never visit a botanical garden (and will never visit again.)
Christopher Lagoon used to be before the capital Santa Cruz. It was founded in 1492 or so, just after the Spanish conquest of the Guanches. The city is a monument of world heritage by Unesco. The monastery, which is pictured below, probably generally not as busy as the day I've been here. We believe that a significant dead, but could be related to the carnival.
In the church of the Candelaria is a famous Black Madonna. Ehh, just a Virgin? The church is full. Everywhere we look, there is another statue or a painting. Even the window are a hive of Madonnas.
Outside the church, is a row of statues of the Guanche Kings. In our opinion, these people are supposed to be very strong and courageous. But how they are represented here are not good. With all the cars parked in front of them, hotels in the background and some garbage cans around, they look like the gay club Tuitjehorn embroidered Netherlands.
