Why do men like sexy lingerie?
I am a happily married lady, but one thing drives me crazy is sexy lingerie! My husband bought me a new one this past week and I feel degraded in the “thing”. He said it really pleases him for me to wear it. I feel like a tramp in any one those outfits. I’ve put on a few pounds since I got married about 4 years ago. I’m starting to diet and I feel disgusted in the outfit. I like to wear baggy sweat pants, sweat shirts, old tee shirts and such around the house. I like to dress casually most of the time. I never liked makeup, jewelry and such. I was a tomboy when I was a young girl. I rode horses bareback, ran faster than most guys, and disliked “girl’ things until I got older. I now like to do needlework, but still don’t like girly things and dislike dresses. So why do men like these costumes? How can I tell him to buy me a comfortable lounging outfit instead of spending extra money on the lingerie? Thanks!
You and him both feel very differently about your body and that’s what you need to acknowledge. The first answer nailed it on the head by saying that men are visual creatures.
Your body is something you’re not comfortable with at the moment but to him it’s something very different. You need to discuss that, and have him HELP you feel sexy. It’s in there, you just need to find it.
