Cross Stitching Using Beads

cross stitching using beads
I need a new craft hobby, any ideas?

I have 4 children and another on the way and I am in desperate need of a new hobby to chill out with. I used to do a lot of sewing but I find that hard to do with children around. Lots of fabric and pins going everywhere doesnt turn out to be stress free. The same goes for jewelery making and lots of beads and I have enjoyed cross stich which worked well with the kids, I just find it a waste of time to spend hours stitching – what to do with the finished product. its not something i particularly want to put on my wall.

Does anypne have any cute or different ideas for something to keep my mind and hands occupied when i get the chance to sit on the sofa and watch the children play?

why not get them to cross stitch and put the finished products into cards for the family and friends. or even make key-rings, there are many cross stitch magazines out there to enable you to get the parts, I used to make coasters and key-rings.

you could also get them interested in paper craft, scrapbook or card making, there are many kits out there you can buy all the items for and all you will need is the adhesive. I recommend QVC have a look around their craft section, I buy alot of my kits from QVC.
