Where to Find Celtic crosses
In many parts of the United Kingdom, you can see the foot crosses in cemeteries and in places where one would not expect to find Symbol fear. The Celtic cross is a symbol that combines the Latin cross rod and two long arms with a circle the stem joins the stem and arms. The crosses are being made of stone and sculpture developed. Many of these crossings that exist date back to toady the seventh century, when Irish missionaries began to lift Ireland. Over time, as the spread of Christianity, the cross also spread so that today you can find them in England, Scotland and Wales, although more common in Ireland.
Kildalton High Cross is the oldest Celtic crosses in Scotland. It is estimated that dates back to 800 AD and develop blue stone sculptures. The biblical scene on the front of the cross represents the Virgin and Child, while there are other sculptures depicting biblical scenes in the rest of the cross as David and the lion. There are also sculptures of animals. Kilchoman Cross in the village cemetery of Kilchoman and dates back to around 1400 AD
In Cornwall, crosses show where the missionaries stopped and prayed.

* Laneast. This date Cross-tenth century and the circle outside the arm.
* San Cruz Kew. In the cemetery of St. Kew, but was discovered in 1924 as part of a bridge.

A number of crosses and stone slabs carved with crosses on them were found on the island of Man. You can see Celtic crosses either independently or in stone in the following places:

* Kirk Maughold
* Michael Kirk
* Kirk Onchan
Cruz de San Brynach had two celtic knots crown and abutment. This variation of the cross has evolved and been more frequent in the eighth of 10 centuries. You can see the cross in Nevern Dyfed, Wales.
In Ireland, where you can see the Celtic cross are:
* Clonmacnois monastery in the center of Ireland
* Monasterboice Muiredach Cruz, County Louth
* Clonfert
* Faheen, County Kilkenny
* Killorglin, County Kerry
Also variations of these crosses. Trinity Cross also shows some of the sculptures complex Celtic cross. The first freestanding Cross were also called Croes Hir, which means that long-Cruz. They eager to cross an arm and headers have been welcomed by the circle. Muiredach Cross is an example of a cross carved with elaborate patterns biblical passages and biblical scenes.
